We're back from Florida!

Today we made it back from visiting Ronnie's parents in Florida. His sister and his little niece made it down for a weekend while we were there too and we had a lovely time. I came home with too much Alice in Wonderland stuff (and a Jack hat for Sarah!) and Ronnie came home with the flu. I could write an entire post about our time visiting, but I'll try to keep it wedding related. :D

We did do a few wedding things while we were out there believe it or not! First, we went out to the wedding pavilion near the Grand Floridian with Ronnies parents to look around. The little office where they keep all the favor ideas and picture books was really neat! I wish I would have brought my camera, because they had this GIANT cake in the walkway that was really pretty. The inside of the pavilion was nice. I loved the stained glass windows with the view of the castle, and the little topiary outside for photos. Secondly we made a little trip to David's Bridal to look at dresses. Me and Ronnie's mom Joyce had lots of fun looking at all of the dresses while the two Ronnies sat and tried to relax. We got two dress things out of the way while we were there. We picked the flower girl dress (the one from a few posts down that's a little version of my dress) and Joyce got a dress! It's very pretty, and really unique! I can't wait to see her wearing it on our wedding day!

The night before we went out to Davids, Ronnie and I talked about the bridesmaids dresses. We had originally thought about having the girls wearing yellow and the men wearing blue, but as I have been browsing magazines and websites I've noticed it's been pretty normal to have the bridesmaids and groomsmen wearing the same color so we've decided that we will have both parties wearing blue! Officially the color is 'pool' and a very pretty Tiffany-esque color. I had Ronnie look at bridesmaid dresses with me online without him knowing which one I liked, and he picked out the same one that I did so I'm thinking there shouldn't be anymore big changes. I got a call from Tracey (my david's bridal lady) asking me when I'm going to be bringing my girls in so I guess I should start figuring that out in the near future. Ronnie really enjoyed looking at tuxes so I think we have that all figured out too. Without further ado, here is the bridesmaid and groomsmen attire:

And here is what we are pretty sure Ronnie's tuxedo will look like:

So I think all of our attire things are done! Except for maybe my moms although she has plenty of time :D :D :D

I got to give Ronnie's sister Christina her bridesmaid card while we were visiting and she said yes! My sister Krisi got her card in the mail while we were out there and she said yes too! I put the address to this blog on the cards so they might just be reading this, so thank you guys! We love you and we are so happy to have you us by our side on our big day!

Since I should be getting ready for bed (it's back to work for me tomorrow) I will try to post about Ronnie re-proposing to me in front of Cinderellas castle tomorrow! Also coming soon will be a hairstyle post since I think that is the what everyone seems to be the most curious about.

A small post with a few things

Ronnie and I are leaving for our vacation tomorrow. We are driving down to Disney World! We're off for 2 weeks, but I'm not quite sure yet when we're going to come home so I thought I would do a little update before I leave.

I finished up my 'Will you be my bridesmaid' cards. They were the paper craft I posted about 2 posts ago. I gave Amy and Sarah theirs in person last week and this week I will be giving Ronnies sister hers. I sent 2 others out in the mail today, and I'm hoping the girls who will be receiving theirs in the mail won't be seeing this post before they get them.

I used this tutorial here to make these. I had originally intended to write out the cards by hand, but my hand writing was just way too sloppy so I spent way longer than I should have designing them in photoshop before I even started making the little paper dolls. I made everything, including the envelopes so I'm hoping they hold up in the mail. I'd hate for someone to open theirs up and see that they are bald... They took me forever to make, but I had a whole lot of fun. I showed them to my mom today and she asked me to make one for her, so it looks like I shouldn't retire the scissors and constrution paper just yet. I should also mention that Ronnie says his sister does not have red hair. I say its auburn, but my construction paper choices are limited so I hope Christina is not too upset about it. :)

In other news, I picked up my dress a few days ago! David's Bridal didn't even call me to tell me it was in, I got an e-mail about it that I didn't even see for about 4 days. I ordered mine in an all ivory since they don't carry this color in the store. I was hoping that it would look okay and I have to say I love the dress even more now in the ivory color. My shoes came in the mail too so I got to try on the ensemble togehter. The shoes are a little darker than the color of my dress, but I don't think it looks too bad so I'm keeping them!

We haven't gotten any thing else done lately, but when I get back from vacation I will be working on my Save the Dates. Hopefully they will be finished off and mailed out by the end of October.

I ordered my shoes!

I've been searching for some unique wedding shoes for a while now. Shoes were one of the first things I started looking for once I got engaged and one of the first things I blogged about wedding wise. Tonight while searching around I found and excellent deal on a pair of Melissa Shoes designed by Vivienne Westwood!

I originally didn't want white shoes. I brought a pair of blue shoes with me the last time I tried on my dress and they didn't match and looked horrible. I love the little splash of color on the toe, and of course I really love the heart. I ordered my dress in an ivory color so I'm hoping that the white looks okay with it. My veil is an ivory, but it's pretty much a white color so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!
Today Ronnie and I booked our DJ! I gave Ronnie the job of picking out a DJ's and he called around to a few different places. We started calling people back and doing some research into who we might like to go with. John from DJ & Music mailed us a contract and some music samples so we went out to meet with him today. He showed us all of his equipment and played us some music samples and gave us some ideas of how everything would work out. What I really liked was that he will do the music for inside of the chapel AND the reception. We even talked about cocktail hour and how it was outside. He said he would be able to run a speaker outside for us, and even leave one inside so if it is too hot out and people are lingering around in the air conditioning, they will still be able to hear some music. We were really impressed with everything we saw and heard so we left our deposit and couldn't be happier with our choice!

I finished up my first paper craft 2 days ago! I'll post some pictures of them once I get them in the mail, or given out in the case of my friends who live close enough.

I stumbled on this lovely headband while browsing some other wedding blogs. Too bad that I tend to get headaches when I wear headbands because I think it's really cute!

I found a few more types of invitations that I like online that are pretty reasonably priced as well. They aren't letterpressed, but they're cute! They're from Betsy White and they're oh so cute.

More engagement pictures

I can't believe I haven't posted about these yet, but I think I've e-mailed the link to everyone who reads this. We got our engagement photos back, and they are so wonderful! You can see a whole bunch of them at Amy's Blog here.

My disc of the photos came in the mail today, so now I need to get designing our Save the Dates!
