So, camping. We've been talking about going all spring but it has been VERY rainy here lately. We decided on a whim to go out to Pinckney this week because the weather was cooler and there wasn't going to be any rain. We honestly couldn't have picked a better day to go up there. It wasn't too hot during the afternoon, and it cooled down to the 60's at night which was perfect. There was A LOT of mosquitoes out. We usually bring Off with us, but we tried out these arm band things that didn't work at all for me. Once I started getting bit a bunch I put on jeans and a longer sweatshirt and I was fine. The other funny thing was the guy in the site next to ours. I guess he was bicycling around Michigan from somewhere in Ohio so he was by himself. He kept coming over to our site and talking to us which probably wouldn't have been too bad, except we weren't doing ANYTHING when we first got there. We sat in our chairs sunbathing and I was reading, I felt kind of bad that we weren't more amusing. The next morning when he was packing up to leave, this hippy guy came to pick him up. While they were putting things in his van the hippy was talking about how he was going to be reincarnated as a rock and how he dresses in clothes made from deer skins and makes tomahawks from rocks and joins into parades for America. Ronnie and were quietly giggling in our tent.

Great pictures! You are so cute Sara... knitting and jumping for joy. hahaha
ReplyDeleteand I might add I'm JEALOUS you were eating Smores. :( I have been wanting some smores for years.... too hot in FL. I think this winter I'm making some FOR SURE!
I LOVE smores! I made them with extra dark chocolate and they were SO YUMMY. So much for my diet though haha!
